Description
Turkish bread is not a single type of bread, but a category that includes many varieties, with Pide, Simit, Bazlama, and Lavash being prominent examples, each with unique characteristics. Pide is a leavened, often oval or elongated flatbread, similar to a pizza, while Simit is a ring-shaped bread coated in sesame seeds. Bazlama is a thick, fluffy flatbread, and Lavash is a thin, unleavened bread used as a wrap or for scooping dips.
Similar to Sangak bread, Turkish bread contains nutritious ingredients for a perfect breakfast and is best served with honey and butter. Turkish bread is strong interconnections to the culture of the Middle East. It is affordable by people from all walks of life and, like different types of bread, is considered God’s gift to human beings.
It requires no kneading! You cannot believe it? I was a bit skeptical too, but try it – proof is in the erm…bread. It’s light and airy, full of air pockets and so irresistible that you’ll want to eat the whole loaf at one sitting. Just a word of warning, don’t do it if you intend to go running an hour later. This last bit of info is NOT BASED on personal experience at all:).
