How to make a Brune Choco Cookie

Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chunks

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips or chunks, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  7. Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Gently flatten each cookie slightly with the back of the spoon or your fingers.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still slightly soft.
  10. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
