Brown Sugar Muffin Recipe
Here is a recipe for brown sugar muffins:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease or line a 12-cup muffin pan with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, cream together the brown sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Beat in the milk, egg, and vanilla extract until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in the nuts if desired.
- Fill each muffin cup 2/3 full with batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
